MicroDISC, Inc.

MicroDISC builds advanced image capture and processing systems designed to meet the high reliability, harsh environment requirements of military, industrial, and commercial applications. Using commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and long life-cycle components, these ruggedized MIL-STD computer systems are built to customer specs and performance requirements to provide users with the critical insight essential to accurate decision-making.

All computer vision systems are built in the United States at our ISO 9001:2015 and ITAR certified facility and meet rigorous military and industrial standards and requirements. Each system is meticulously tested and deployed with expert logistics, lifecycle, and legacy system technical support.

Embedded and Hardened Systems

MicroDISC’s products and services address the world of embedded and/or hardened Machine Vision and Real-Time Data Collection Systems for the Commercial and Military markets. When your machine vision system has to operate reliably in extreme temperatures, humidity, harsh, noisy, dusty, or hazardous environment, these equipment enclosures and embedded platforms allow you to safely install your machine vision system and maintain proper operation.

Advanced Product Development Group (COTs and Custom Products)

By understanding the potential client’s image acquisition and processing requirements, the advanced technology group will investigate the technological feasibility of system or sub-system development and implementation using standard Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or modified and/or enhanced components from the original manufacturer’s specifications to meet the client’s application enhanced needs. MicroDISC, Inc. will design & engineer full implementation of a custom design if COTS or enhanced COTS equipment will not meet the performance requirements.

Legacy and Obsolete Product Support

Obsolescence & Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) have frustrated computer system integrators and manufacturers who provide life cycle support to the Systems they build. In a rapid advancing technology world components and assemblies sometimes have a technological life of less than one year and at other times critical circuit boards make it thru a short production cycle and reach end of life without any notice from the manufacturer. As a VAR, Distributer/Reseller and Technology Provider MicroDISC uses the proactive team approach with regular monitoring of items using “what if scenarios” attending trade shows & technology seminars and working with manufacturers’ production timelines to mitigate Obsolescence & DMSMS issues as Systems mature thru their Life Cycle to Legacy Support status.
